9/11 Day of Service & Remembrance

Volunteers across the country will serve on September 11, 2010 by participating in service and remembrance activities. Since this year's Day of Service & Remembrance theme is alleviating hunger, Volunteer Connect and the Bend Community Center encourage you join us for a special service project. 

Volunteers will work to prepare and package food donations at the Bend Community Center from 9am-12pm on Saturday September 11th, 2010. 

Volunteers of all ages are welcome, but children ages 12 and under need to accompanied by an adult.

If you are not able to come out on Saturday morning, the Bend Community Center could really use your assistance in the form of item donations. Specifically the need:

• Canned or Dried food goods
• Tents & Outdoor gear
• Shampoo & Soap
• Razor Blades & Deodorant
