Volunteer Connect is a 501(c)(3) non-profit serving Crook, Deschutes, and Jefferson counties.  We connect volunteers with

  • ongoing volunteer opportunities

  • one-time volunteer opportunities

  • matches corporate employees with service projects

  • helps educate school and college students for life-long community engagement and leadership through service-learning

  • match inkind donations from people to non-profit agencies

Our Mission: We link individuals and groups with meaningful opportunities to deeply impact our communities through service.

How does an agency become listed on the site?

Agencies contact us to be listed, but all information is maintained by the individual agencies. This provides the most accurate and up-to-date information. All agencies are either a non-profit, government organization, or affiliation. We do not screen the information for complete accuracy, if you see an error, please let us know.

My computer says I need cookies enabled, what do I do?

Please visit:

to find out how to enable cookies. We use a database system called volunteer solutions to manage our volunteers and agencies. Using this "3rd party system" has cause a few people to run into problems. All seem to use Internet Explorer If you need help please contact us.

Why should I register with you as a Volunteer?

Registering with us is the best way to find opportunities. After you register you need to create a saved search. Make multiple saved searches with unique titles and criteria that fit what YOU are looking for. For example, One-Time Opportunities on Saturday and Sunday after 3pm. Or, Outdoor Activities, for Middle Schools Kids. Or, Office Work on Tuesdays Mornings. When opportunities are added you will get an email. You control the number of emails and how often you get them. You always have the control to decide what to volunteer for. This is just a great way to set up what you want and then forget about it. We will do the rest and let you know when we think something might be interesting for you. Sign up now.

What do you do with my registration information?

We do not sell or give your information to anyone. We send a monthly newsletter with information on hot volunteer opportunities, and upcoming events. You have the ability to unsubscribe to this newsletter at anytime. Trust us, we hate spam as much as you. We are committed to protecting your information.

What if no one responds to my request to volunteer?

Our system sends an email to the contact of the agency directly. Please give them 4-5 days to respond. If you don't hear from them, or have an urgent request you can always contact us to help you.

Does it cost me anything to use the volunteer center's website to search for opportunities?

NO. This is a free resource to volunteers. We are a non-profit and run on donations. We would love to have you contribute to the volunteering cause, but this will always be a free service.

Are you on any Social Networks?

We are on Facebook, Twitter, YouTube, and LinkedIn. Please join us here and tell your friends.

Didn't answer your question, or think something should be added?
